WashCanyon started in a muddy driveway in Boise, Idaho, in the spring of 2021. Our founder, Derek Malone, had just spent three weekends fighting with a bargain-bin electric pressure washer that leaked from the hose fitting and choked out every time he tried to strip old paint off a deck railing. After returning two units and reading dozens of contradictory reviews online — most of them clearly written by people who had never actually plugged the machine in — he decided there had to be a better way to help homeowners and pros cut through the noise.
